6 ways for scalp care routine

1)  Exfoliate: Scalp scrubs and scalp exfoliators are now readily available in the market. Make sure to check the ingredients to know if they would suit you and do not contain any harmful chemicals. Regular exfoliation helps to remove build up and free up dead and dry flakes. You can also use some coffee powder mixed with your favourite carrier oil to make a scalp scrub at home.
2) Massage: A good head massage promotes blood circulation that in turn helps the cell carry nutrients to the scalp and hair follicles. 10 minutes daily stimulation of the scalp works wonders.
3) Moisture: We tend to have warm or hot water showers and that causes the skin and scalp to lose its natural moisture, making it dry and dehydrated. Always use lukewarm water or cold water for hair wash, thus preventing additional moisture loss. The scalp will thus not overproduce oil.
4) Shampoo: Choose a shampoo or shampoo bar as per your need but make sure it’s void of any sulphates as they tend to damage your hair and scalp in the long run. Also, the frequency of your shampoo depends on your hair structure and type. For many dry hair kinds, shampoo once in 4 days is good enough to maintain healthy scalp and hair whereas for the oily scalp and hair kinds, shampoo every 2 days is needed. Listen to your hair and don’t over shampoo.

5) Masking: A good hair mask or hair pack with the right ingredients can help maintain good scalp health. Our Fenugreek, Nettle and Ginger Hair Pack works well on reducing dandruff, itchiness and premature greying along with combating hair fall. Once a week, mixed with your favourite oil or yogurt can restore your hair and scalp health.
6) Combs: Switch over to wooden or Neem wood combs to reduce friction of your strands and scalp. In the long run they also help to reduce hair fall.

If your scalp is clogged up it can cause dandruff, itchiness and hair fall and that is something we definitely do not want. Do incorporate these simple yet effective steps in your weekly ritual for healthy and happy scalp and hair.
